Tree Keeper tells the story of Doire, a man in his twenties who inherits a hundred acres of woodland when his father dies. A solitary and reclusive figure, Doire decides the best way to protect his inheritance is to make a home for himself deep in the woods. In his isolation in the woods Doire is unaware that his estranged mother has contested his father's will and has been granted ownership of the woodlands. Doire soon discovers that his woods are to be developed as a landfill site and realizes that he must do whatever it takes to protect that which he loves the most.
