Little House on the Prairie: Thanks to the tireless efforts of Mr. Edwards, the Wilders and Doc Baker, young Matthew's life has taken a complete turn. With his violent behavior eliminated and his eagerness for learning fueled through sign language, it appears that Mr. Edwards has built a whole new life with the child. However, when the greedy Olesons rat them out to McQueen, he angrily confronts Mr. Edwards and insists that Matthew be returned to him. This battle leads to a long and tedious court case, where justice is finally served when the judge takes custody away from McQueen. Unfortunately, this ruling also calls for Matthew to be sent back to an asylum. With Matthew being forced to leave behind the community and friends he has come to love so much, it will take all the gut-wrenching courage that Mr. Edwards possesses to reverse the court's decision.
